These articles were written as general feedback to the grant applicant fields we have seen
during the short history of the competition. They address business challenges that seem to
be common issues for new jewelry companies. We recommend that all candidates read these articles
prior to submitting a grant application packet. The contents are specifically tailored to companies
attempting to become national branded jewelry firms. They will not be as applicable to smaller,
local businesses. However, some of the general principles may still be helpful.
