2005 Metals Catalog
As you read this edition of our newsletter, your 2005 Metals Catalog is en route to your address.
We are particularly excited about this catalog release because of the large number of new products
we are offering. In fact, the 2004 edition was 48 pages and this year’s edition is 64 pages with
over 550 new items. You will notice a new core line of pure copper beads and findings as well as
many new pewter and base metal products. In sterling we have dramatically increased our selection
in the following areas: stations, drops, earring findings, satin shaped beads, fancy shapes, separators

Silver Pricing
Our 2004 silver pricing was based on a $5 silver market. However, the market has been fluctuating
between $6.75 and $8.00 for some time now. This is a 35%-60% change in the cost of silver and
therefore all of our silver goods.
The floating surcharge we implemented in the second quarter of this year was intended to be a
temporary patch to prevent us from losing money during, what we presumed to be, a short term market
condition. The surcharge we were charging does not come close to covering the cost increase we have
experienced.
After the market performance during the past six months, we must now assume that the silver price has
made a more permanent shift. Therefore, we are re-pricing our silver goods to reflect the market change.
Some imported items are affected further because of the weak US dollar against other currencies. We
have worked very hard to negotiate better pricing with existing vendors and to identify alternate
suppliers to minimize this price increase wherever possible. You will find that many prices have not
changed at all; however, most are in the 10%-25% range, and others will go up even more.
All orders filled in the new year will be invoiced with the new pricing. We apologize for this price
increase and any inconveniences it may cause.
