Look guys and gals- I'm NOT a professional jeweler- but I love to make jewelry and travel. This is the best pin setup for quickly and effectively setting up a mini-shop or at a show- period. Please consider this for your travel kit for several reasons: 1-Cast Iron anvil- you can simply file/sand/grind each edge to your radius of choice- and use the back as a bending assist as well- because the pin is below the cast iron your table-top is protected (I use a piece of rubber as well under the wood to create a non marring grip) 2- Flip over Peg- whether you are setting or piercing- its versatile and unlike other travel pins has the ability to be interchanged- carry several customized for various tasks. 3- Portable with the mass to be used to hammer EFFECTIVELY to do repairs. Hammer rebound and a good striking surface are essential in cold connections and other procedures.
