Soldering Cool Cup, 4 inch Round Cup and 2 inch Cup depth, 5 inch Negative Locking Tweezers
Save time by using this soldering cool cup! If you’re resizing a finger ring, this cooling cup will save you time. As long as the stones are immersed in water you can safely solder a ring, without having to remove the stones from the mountings. The water keeps the stone cool as you quickly solder the joins.
- Fill the cup with water.
- Place the ring in the locking tweezers, stone side down.
- Place the tweezers on the cup (the notch on the tweezers fits on the rim of the cup).
- Check to make sure that the water is covering the entire stone.
- Flux and solder.
Note: Always use hard jewelry solder when resizing rings. Medium and soft solders tend to create pits, while hard solders do not. By using hard solders you’ll have a much cleaner join.
