4mm Tube Bezel Setting Tool
We love our bezel setting tools here at Halstead! The highly polished, tempered hardened steel tool won’t scratch or chip calibrated stones, will not damage or dent the tube bezel, and saves valuable time in the studio so that you can move onto other projects quicker than you could using standard bezel rollers and burnishers. From month to month these tools have been a favorite among customers and employees.
Make sure that the stone is seated flush in the tube bezel seat (this is the key to the successful setting of the calibrated stone) and then place the bezel setting tool over the stone and the rim of the tube bezel (make sure the bezel setting tool is straight up and down over the stone and tube bezel rim). Lightly strike it one or two times with a hammer to set the stone. Practice makes perfect, so practice several times before moving onto setting stones into jewelry pieces. Once you get familiar with using this jewelry tool, you’ll quickly set calibrated stones into multiple tube bezels in the amount of time it takes to set one stone using a standard burnisher and bezel roller. Another great thing about this tool is that the interior of the tool bezel setting tool leaves the rim of the tube bezel unscratched, so there’s no need to smooth it down with a burnisher afterwards.
These bezel setting tools are perfect to use for production work as well. Line up several tube bezels at once, set your calibrated stones into the bezels, and then go down the row lightly striking each tube bezel using the bezel setting tool and a hammer. If you create chain settings, use the bezel chain setting block to speed along that process, too. Setting calibrated stones into tube bezels has never been easier! Our bezel setting tools come in sizes 3, 4, 5 and 6mm. Look for these and loose stones on the Halstead website, and start setting calibrated stones into tube bezels today.
