5mm Tube Bezel Setting Tool
Some of the bestselling jewelry tools at Halstead are our bezel setting tools. If you love calibrated stones set into tube bezels you will love these tools. The tools are made from tempered hardened steel and they are highly polished, leaving stones chip and scratch free and the tube bezel undamaged. Besides saving time in the studio, to use it is so easy, you’ll be amazed.
Place the calibrated stone into the tube bezel seat and make sure it is properly seated (this is the key to a successful setting). Place the bezel setting tool over the calibrated stone and the tube bezel. Lightly strike once or twice with a hammer and your stone is set. Imagine the time saved. Traditional setting methods use a bezel roller and burnisher, this is time consuming but with the bezel setting tool you strike it with a hammer to set it, allowing you to move onto your next project much quicker. With the highly polished bezel setting tool, there is no need to go back over it with a burnisher after setting it either. We all know practice makes perfect, so practice a few times so that you can get a feel for the strike of the hammer and the placement of the jewelry tool before setting stones into jewelry pieces.
Do you do any production work? This will save time there as well. Line up your tube bezels in a row, place your stones on the seat, then head down the row with a hammer and your bezel setting tool setting each one as you go. It’s fast and easy! If you do chain settings, we also carry a chain setting block to speed up the process of stone setting, too. We have bezel setting tools in four sizes: 3, 4, 5, and 6mm. Look for calibrated loose stones and tube bezels on the Halstead website!
