Serrated edges are high enough to fit a wider range of cabochon depths. Serrated bezel cups are preferred for greater versatility.

Sometimes your stones won’t fit perfectly into the cups. If they’re too big, use a snap-on sanding disc with your flex shaft or a file to take the edge of your stone down a little. Sand around the stone evenly until the stone drops in. Always remember to use calibrated stones with bezel cups for the best chance of a perfect fit.
