Podcasts have become so popular and with the rise of hands free devices listening has never been easier. We have compiled a list of must- listen jewelry podcasts. While working in your studio or driving in the car tune in to stay up to date on trends, techniques, business tips, & industry advice.

Perceived Value

In 2017, Sarah found her passion and started producing her Perceived Value podcast. It started from a desire to interview jewelers to find out how they made their living for a book. This turned into a podcast where the focus of each episode is a candid, in-depth conversation with an artist. She isn't afraid to ask questions that many are in the name of radical transparency. Topics have included student loan debt, familial support, personal income among others that are often considered taboo. You can read more about Perceived Value in Sarah's interview with Art Jewelry Forum.

Sarah Rachel Brown is the woman behind Perceived Value Podcast. She is an adornment jewelry artist based in Philadelphia who is involved in the jewelry industry in a variety of ways. She is a member of the JV Collective, a collaborative contemporary jewelry studio and the Custom Design Specialist for Bario Neal Jewelry in Philadelphia. Her jewelry career began with a 3-year apprenticeship with jeweler Sarah Loertscher. Sarah is also the US Ambassador for Art Jewelry Forum. She was the founding Metals Coordinator for the Arrowmont School of Art and Crafts Pentaculum Residency, where she was also an artist-in-residence. In addition, Sarah was a Core Fellow at Penland school of Crafts. Her work has been exhibited at a variety of shows nationally and internationally. These shows include The Contemporary Jewelry Show at the Penland Gallery, Munich Jewellery Week and New York City Jewelry Week.

In 2020, Sarah will be joining the The Halstead Grant judging committee. Each year the grant provides start up capital to new silver jewelry businesses. The Halstead Grant is now calling for entries for 2020.
